People have been discussing who will be Ferrari next watch-making partner since it ended its cooperation with Panerai watches. It is true that Ferrari is able to make some watches that are not very very expensive, but it needs to work with a high-end luxury watch brand to show their big name. I once guessed they would have new face and style. And I was right. News comes that Ferrari has signed a contract with famous watch designer Jean-Francios Ruchonnet who represents Cabestan- a watch brand renown for making boutique luxury watch brand. As the main designer of Cabestan, Jean-Francios Ruchonnet will take charge of designing a line of Ferrari watches. And some prototype images have been revealed.

Scuderis Ferrari One by Cabestan is one of the new Ferrari watches. The design combines the styles of the Cabestan Winch Vertical Tourbillon and the brand new Cabestan Nostromo. Bearing the name of Ferrari, this watch of course adopts contemporary Ferrari design and technology. As far as I know, the middle bridge of the watch is made of carbon fiber. Not sure if Ferrari likes the look,but personally ,I am attracted by the protype images.

Having complex tourbillon and fusee chain, the watch will be limited to just 60 pieces and priced at 300,000 euros. The fusee chain needs lots man hour to finish as each link is made by hand .The mechanical movement beating inside is very precise. Its accuracy is about plus or minus one second per day. And the watch tells time in rotating method via those vertically aligned barrels.

This very cool-looking watch obviously indicates a bright future between Cabestan and Ferrari. And this watch, according to Cabestan will be just sold to Ferrari clients.
